• My name is Avram Peters, and I’m a person in long-term recovery who understands firsthand the challenges of reentry after incarceration. After experiencing the power of transitional living myself and seeing how vital structure, support, and community are to rebuilding a life, I felt called to create a safe space for others walking the same path. I started New Start Reentry to provide housing and recovery support rooted in lived experience, compassion, and 12-step values—because I know what it’s like to need a second chance and be ready to fight for it.
